Dear Community,

The 2012-2013 academic year is coming to an end. As this year has suddenly passed by, our children have grown and matured with new attitudes and ideals. It seemed like just yesterday we were celebrating our new school with a Ribbon cutting ceremony and welcoming all of our students and teachers.  We are continuing to grow throughout the year while building our traditions and creating a climate where every child is successful.

I would like to extend a hearty “thank you” to all family members who helped make our first year at ISL productive, rewarding and enlightening. You have helped make a difference in the lives of our students!

Thank you to the PTO for volunteering their time and efforts to raise money and helping to establish a culture of fun and togetherness in our community.  We had many successful efforts this year such as Fun Friday fest, Family Science Night, dinner nights out, skate nights, the bead drive, and World’s Finest Chocolate sales.  Your hard work continues to allow our students to flourish.

There are many things we are looking forward to in May.  The theme for this quarter is International Awareness where we are bringing the world to our students.  We have many activities planned for our students including international-themed assemblies, and our International Day parade.  Our children will grow in confidence and skill through cultural experiences and activities.

Soon we will move to the Bunche location.  We are looking forward to moving to our new home and welcoming our children there to grow with qualified and experienced teachers and staff to help lead the way.

We have amazing children at ISL and it has been a pleasure to be a part of their learning journey this year.  Please continue to encourage your child to finish the year strong by putting forth their best effort every day.
