Sean Wilson

CEO/Head of School

Sean Wilson began his association with the International School of Louisiana in 2002, when his daughter enrolled in the Spanish language immersion program at the school.  Serving first on the executive board of ISL’s Family, Teacher & Community Organization, Mr. Wilson was invited to join the ISL administrative team as Director of Business Operations in 2006 and oversaw the school’s post-Katrina recovery as Interim Executive Director.  He was officially named Head of School in May 2007.

A native of the Greater New Orleans Region, Mr. Wilson received the majority of his education in the public school systems of Southeastern Louisiana; receiving both an undergraduate and post graduate degree from the University of New Orleans.  After serving in the United States Military, Mr. Wilson returned to Louisiana and began his career teaching in New Orleans public schools.  He is committed to discovering the potential inherent in all children with a public-school education and, through leadership by example, the values of community service and global awareness.
