Childcare (Early Bird/Prime Time) FAQ

1. To access the Kids Care Center Parent Portal for your after school programs, open your browser and navigate to https://parentportal.kidscarecenter.com/secure2/ISL.aspx. The list of programs will be displayed (Click on the Parent Portal Guide link for directions)
2. A list of After School Programs will be displayed. Click the “Enroll” button for the appropriate program to begin the registration process.
3. After clicking the “Enroll” button, the Account Holder Information screen will be displayed. Enter the information for the parent/guardian who will be responsible for paying the after school enrollment and tuition fees. NOTE: Completing the parent registration is only the first step. Once you complete the parent registration, you must also complete the STUDENT REGISTRATION process. Your registration is not complete until you have successfully registered a student(s). 
4. After saving your parent information, you will be directed to reconfirm the program you wish to Register a New Student. Click the Register Now button for the appropriate program to continue.
5. Pay the $25.00 non-refundable annual Registration Fee of $25 per family. 
6. Payment must be received to complete the registration process and eligibility to attend.

Submit a request from your MySchoolBucks account.

1. Log into your MSB account
2. Click on the circle (profile) next to the shopping cart
3. Click on "My Students" --> Add Student --> Click on the link "Don't have your child's student ID?" (make sure you click on the campus where your student attends from the dropdown menu) --> enter the required information --> click "Send"
4. Email childcare@isl-edu.org. Be sure to provide your student's name, campus, and grade as well as parent/guardian name making the request.

If you need assistance with your MySchoolBucks account, please contact the MSB parent support number: 855-832-5226.

1. Log into your Kids Care account from the campus. You will need to use the email address that was created for the account or your 6-digit account number, as well as your password/PIN. Your account number is located on the Homepage of the Parent Portal in the upper left. You can use your account number or the email address and your password to log into the Parent Portal. In order to check your child out, you must use your Account Number.
2. For Early Bird, click on the "Sign-In" box.
3. For Prime Time, click on the "Sign-Out" box. The coordinators will sign your students into Prime Time if they have not been picked up from dismissal.

If need be, you may obtain a copy of a tax statement that will display the total amount you have paid in childcare fees for the current calendar year. By clicking the "Tax Statements" menu link in the Kids Care Parent Portal, you will be prompted to open or download the tax statement in Microsoft Word. Click "Open or Download" to open or save your current tax statement.

Please email childcare@isl-edu.org or call Vanessa Levy at (504) 252-3502 with one or all three of the following items of informaiton:

• Student last name
• Last name of parent/guardian who created the account
• Email address attached to the account

Unlike in the past when you could access invoices directly from MySchoolBucks (MSB), you will no longer dind them in MSB without logging into your Kids Care Center account first. 

Kids Care Center provides the capability to pay after your childcare program fees online through MySchoolBucks. The total will appear on your account at the beginning of the month for the previous month.

Once you log into your accout from the Parent Portal, you will need to complete the following steps:

1. From the Registration Confirmation page or Home page, click where it says "Click Here to Pay Online" or click the credit card logo's image.
2. After clicking the payment icon, a payment entry screen will be displayed with your outstanding registration fees or current charges.
3. Click the "Pay Now" button to continue.
4. The payment review screen allows you to review the total payment amount. Click the "Pay Now" button to continue.
5. After clicking the "Pay Now" button, you will be transferred to the MySchoolBucks login page.
6. Enter your MySchoolBucks credentials (username and password).
7. Once you've logged into MySchoolBucks, you may enter your credit card or bank information required to make an online payment.
8. Upon successfully processing your payment, MySchoolBucks will direct you back to Kids Care Center with a message that the payment was successful and a link to return back to the Kids Care Center homepage. Kids Care Center will recognize the payments you have just made and update your balance immediately to reflect the completed payment.

Our policy states that payments for childcare programs are due in full upon receipt of invoice for each month, and any student(s) with a delinquent account will be dismissed from the before and after care program.

Early Bird and Prime Time services are not part of our regular school day and cannot operate without payments. If you would like to set up a payment schedule or need assistance, please email childcare@isl-edu.org. We are happy to work with you.

All open invoices for the current school year must be paid in FULL before you will be able to enroll your child in the childcare program in the new school year.

Payments can be made by cash, money order (payable to ISL), or online at MySchoolBucks, which is the preferred method of payment. You must first log into your Kids Care Center account to pay via MSB.

Unfortunately, this is not permitted during the time Community Works is in session at the campuses (September - May). Community Works is not coordinated by ISL or ISL staff. This program is sponsored through a separate partnership with that organization.

Community Works begins in September and runs through mid-May. They finish their program at the campuses prior to the end of our school year. Once they are no longer available, your child can move into the Prime Time program, as long as they have been previously enrolled and the non-refundable annual Registration Fee of $25 per family has been paid.

EARLY BIRD (Before School Childcare)

• Dixon Campus, 7:15am -7:45am
• Uptown Campus, 7:15am - 8:15am
• Westbank Campus, 7:15am - 7:45am

PRIME TIME (After School Childcare)

• Dixon and Westbank Campus, M/T/Th/F, 3:45pm - 5:30pm; Wednesdays, 2:45pm - 5:30pm
• Uptown Campus, M/T/Th/F, 4:15pm - 5:30pm; Wednesdays, 3:15pm - 5:30pm

Prime Time begins 15 minutes after dismissal. Prime Time will provide basic after school care with homework time, snack, and outdoor play (weather pending). All Prime Time (After School) Programs operate from school dismissal until 5:30pm.

Dixon

• Drop off location - Main Entrance (4040 Eagle Street)
• Pick up location - Modular Building (enter through the gate located on Marks Street)

Uptown

• Drop off location - Cafeteria (enter through cafeteria entrance on Terpischore Street)
• Pick up location - Cafeteria/Blacktop (please enter through Camp Street side gate; opens at 4:25pm and 3:25pm on Wednesdays; note that the front office will be closed)

Westbank

• Pick up location - Cafeteria Main Entrance on Olivier (the red door)
• Drop off location - Cafeteria Main Entrance on Olivier (the red door)

• There is a non-refundable annual Registration Fee of $25 per family.
• For Early Bird, family accounts are charged $4.00/day/child (up to $40/month) if registered. The drop-in service fee is $10/student and must be paid in full the same morning of service.
• For Prime Time, family accounts are charged $10.00/day/child (up to $150/month) if registered. A late fee of $5 for the first minute and $1 per minute thereafter is due for any child not picked up by 5:30pm at any campus. Late fees must be paid in full the same afternoon of service; repeated late pick-up will result in dismissal from the program.
• Students who remain on campus more than 15 minutes after dismissal and who are not registered in the after school program will automatically be checked into drop-in and charged $20. Fees must be paid in full the afternoon of service.
