To our ISL families and community:
Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of our friend and colleague, Benjamin Welman, III.

Mr. Welman, a longtime ISL employee, joined ISL when he took up a second career teaching children after retiring from the practice of law. During his years at ISL, Mr. Welman served as a Middle School Math Teacher at ISL’s Jefferson Parish campus, a Math Tutor at our Uptown campus, and our school-wide Transportation Manager.

We will remember with affection his kindness, humor, and gracious spirit. Our thoughts are with Mr. Welman’s family and friends at this time. We will share arrangement details on our website, under HOS corner, when they are available.

At this time, we ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this as a school community.

In gratitude,
ISL Administration, Faculty & Staff
ISL Board of Trustees
